Canon EOS Rebel 2000 | 35mm Film Camera

Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with 28-80mm Lens

The Canon EOS Rebel 2000 brought familiar, modern-feeling controls to the magic of 35mm film, and we’ve lovingly restored this one so your first roll can feel exciting instead of intimidating.

The Canon EOS Rebel 2000 is the rare 35mm SLR that doesn’t make your first roll feel like a final exam. Released in 1999 (and called the EOS Kiss III in Japan, which is frankly adorable) it pairs the magic of film with controls that feel surprisingly modern. Turn the dial to Full Auto and let the camera handle the technical decisions, or choose Portrait, Landscape, Close-Up, Sports or Night Scene mode when you want a little creative help.

When you’re ready to experiment, program, aperture-priority, shutter-priority and full manual modes are waiting. The included 28–80mm autofocus zoom lens moves easily from travel and group photos to portraits and little details, while seven-point autofocus, 35-zone metering, a built-in flash and automatic film handling keep everything feeling easy and spontaneous. It is a wonderfully friendly bridge between point-and-shoot simplicity and the creative freedom of an interchangeable-lens SLR.

Why You’ll Love It

• Film Photography Without the Pop Quiz: Full Auto, helpful scene modes, a built-in flash and automatic film loading, advance and rewind make shooting your first roll delightfully straightforward.
• Focus That Follows the Moment: Seven-point autofocus helps find your subject across the frame, while AI Servo autofocus can continue tracking people, pets and other moving subjects.
• One Lens for Everyday Life: The included Canon 28–80mm zoom lens gives you a wider view for trips, groups and landscapes, then zooms in for portraits and meaningful little details.
• Easy Now, Creative Later: Start with automatic modes, then explore aperture priority, shutter priority, full manual exposure, multiple exposures and Canon’s enormous family of EF lenses as your photography grows.
• Restored with Love at Cute Camera Co: Every Canon Rebel EOS 2000 is lovingly restored by the Cute Camera Co. team so it works just like it did back in the summer of 1999.
